Who we are. Conserve Nassau, Inc. is a 501(3)(c) nonprofit organization dedicated to the engaging the Nassau County Florida community to protect and strengthen the treasured features of our unique home including our diverse economy, cultural heritage, and fragile ecosystems.

Conserve Nassau is committed to respecting the privacy of our members and media users.

Information Collected. Here are the types of user information that we collect and maintain:

  • Contact information: name, organization/company, complete address, phone number, email address

  • Donation information: amounts donated, date of donation(s), method and stimulus. Donor information is collected by us or our online donor management vendor, Givebutter, Inc.
    The donor information available to us does not include any charge card (credit or debt card) information. Neither Conserve Nassau nor Givebutter stores charge card information from donors. Donors wishing to make a purchase from or donate funds are connected to Stripe or another of our third-party payment processors, who collect and processes payment information.   • Information concerning activities and hours of your volunteer participation.

  • Your requests and comments.

  • Non-personally identifiable information on page usage is collected by Google Analytics.  See https://policies.google.com/privacy for more information on Google’s privacy policy.

How Information is Used. Conserve Nassau uses your data to maintain records of donations, send acknowledgements, mail year-end statements to you, send newsletters, notices, and direct mail pieces, and for internal marketing purposes. These lists, along with web page and social media analytics help us with our mission of education, dissemination of conservation alerts and actions, providing a community resource, and keeping members and users informed of our work as a public charity. We normally add you to our mailing list unless you request otherwise. Only Conserve Nassau personnel with an assigned need to use these user data lists for purposes as described above have access permissions to the lists on our secure storage. We treat the lists with confidentiality and do not transfer or share them outside the Conserve Nassau organization.

We do not list individuals’ names in our publications without prior approval. Corporate and Foundation sponsors are listed in our Annual Report and event programs. We may use your written comments/letters occasionally to post on our website (either anonymously or with your permission), and to respond to your inquiries.

No Sharing of Personal Information. Conserve Nassau will not sell, rent, trade or transfer your personal information to outside organizations. Use of donor information will be limited to the internal purposes of Conserve Nassau and only to further the mission of Conserve Nassau, except as required by law. Nevertheless, security measures may not prevent all losses, and Conserve Nassau is not responsible for any damages or liabilities relating to security failures.

Removing Your Name from Our Mailing List. Please contact us if you wish to be removed from our mailing list. Email info@conservenassau.org, use our unsubscribe form, or mail us at the address above.
