About Us

Our vision is for a Nassau County that is economically and environmentally sustainable and resilient with a rich diversity of ecosystems creating a community that thrives together.

Engage

Educate

Collaborate

Advocate

We are in the room to advocate with local government and decision makers. We are passionate, we are interdisciplinary. Solving issues requires a multi-faceted approach. We are wired like that.

Conserve Nassau, arose from our work as the Comp Plan/LDC Working Group, evolving in response to issues that will determine the future of Nassau County and our quality of life. We feel the interface of natural, social, legislative, and economic issues is a holistic way to work throughout the county, from coast to upland, on timely and important interests and issues. Our group includes ecologists, environmentalists, engineers, social justice advocates, economists, and educators that have the local, regional, and international experience and passion to seek solutions through action, education, contribution to ordinances, and input to local governments in Nassau County.
