Quick Tips

for using Nassau County Tax Maps

Here’s a quick guide to features of the Nassau County online tax maps viewer. Not all features are mentioned.

When you open the Tax Map viewer, a search box will also appear that you can use to zoom into regions of the map by Owner, Parcel number, or Address. You can also zoom and pan around the map with your mouse. In this example, we have searched for properties owned by the City of Fernandina Beach and zoomed in on a few of the properties.

The search highlights the searched for properties on the map and opens a listing of each property at the bottom of the viewer. More details from the listings can be had by clicking on items on the property of interest.

Click on 'Result' on the top menu bar to toggle the listings on and off when you want to see more of the map.

To reopen the Search, click on the binoculars icon on the left-hand side of the viewer.

Clicking on ‘Basemaps’ on the top menu bar gives you options for changing the map background. Experiment with these. Imagery is often particularly useful.

Clicking on ‘Maplayers’ on the top menu bar opens a map selection menu with a large amount of mapped information that you can overlay on the basemap. Flood zones and elevations (topoigraphy) are shown in the example below right.

Soils, potential wetlands, zoning, future land use, and public safety (storm surge & evacuation zones) are a few of the other layers that can be mapped from this menu.

In Results listings, clicking on the 'page with an X on it' icon will export your listings results to Excel (.csv file)
