Three recommended nurseries are off the map. The well stocked Green Isle Gardens and The Natives are near Orlando. For dune plants, keep going south to Green Seasons Nursery near St Petersburg.

About half of the water Floridians use at home goes to our landscapes. One of the many benefits of well sited native plants is that they usually require no supplemental irrigation once they are established. New plantings typically will require irrigation to get established, but not necessarily ever day depending on the plant species and your site conditions. Please also comply with watering restrictions in your area.
During drought conditions the St Johns River Water Management District may restrict irrigation because of declining groundwater levels and reduced river flows to protect the Floridan Aquifer and prevent long-term damage or saltwater intrusion into the freshwater supply. Watering restrictions change with conditions and should be checked at SJRWMD Watering Restrictions. Exceptions to the restrictions for new landscaping can also be found at this link.
