at the Labyrith

In cooperation with the City of Fernandina Beach, Conserve Nassau has been awarded a grant from the Florida Wildflower Foundation.

Our community volunteers are creating two native plant gardens in Egans Creek Park in Fernandina Beach.

The Community Wildlife Garden is designed to highlight plantings that attract pollinators, birds and other wildlife while demonstrating the beauty and low maintenance of native plants.

Our Ethnobotanical Garden will emphasize native plants that were historically used for food, dyeing and medicine. The garden will include native False Indigo to key in on the history of the site as a cultivated indigo plantation.

What’s it all about?

Promoting the beauty of native plants and the opportunity for connectivity for pollinator and wildlife corridors.
